Dr Ben Black

I accepted the position at TVH to head up the surgery and ultrasound department in 2005 and became a Practice Owner and Director in 2006.   I enjoy everything about being a Vet and understand that animals are an important source of joy in my client’s lives.  This helps me to use my knowledge and skill to partner with clients and my team to help animals in their time of need.  I keep busy with the difficult soft  tissue surgery, orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, mentoring other vets who share a passion for helping animals and running a business with my wonderful partner in life and in business Colleen.  People who like animals are the best people so it has been an honour to serve the clients of Tuggeranong Veterinary Hospital since 2005.

My past pets include: fish, yabbies, lizards, turtles, birds, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, stick insects, chickens, horses, dogs and cats.  I think that covers a lot  of the animal kingdom.

My most special pet: Molly our (Golden Retriever).  She used to follow me around at work and play with other dogs in the waiting room.  She was truly special and is missed by many.

Current pet: Prince Rupert the One Eyed Wonder Dog (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel).  I could not ask for a better companion for our sons.
